SOUND HILL PARK

Vilnius poses itself with a high potential to offer green spaces not only for its immediate surroundings, but more importantly on an urban scale they can create spaces for sound to unite and educate people.

The Main Theme devised for the future of the National Concert Hall is the realization of a Sound Hill Park, which comprises a holistic vision into generating green areas and cultural facilities with an ecological approach.

Sound Hill is a concept that aims to improve street culture and musical

knowledge of Vilnius youth. Sound hill will take part also in international music festivals.

The hill already has users with its great view and big green space. It will be a part of this public knowledge by its unique sound installations and interactive musical landarts. It will create a soundscape with several landart installations which are also interactive musical instruments which are distributed throughout the hill in areas permitted by the natural slope. These multiple focal areas are connected to each other via various circulation routes which are characterized by a fluid, continuous design approach.
